About Me

I am a third grade teacher in Lincoln County at Union Elementary.  I have worked as an after school teacher, a teacher assistant, a tutor, an AIG teacher, and a first grade teacher.  I am always up for a change.

I moved to Lincolnton last summer from Flat Rock, North Carolina.  That’s Flat Rock in Henderson County.  I have learned that there is more than one Flat Rock in N.C.  I lived in Flat Rock for 6 years.  My husband and I are both originally from Statesville.  So when we both got the job opportunities to move closer to Statesville we took them.

We have two dogs, Bella-Bizet and Tucker.

Tucker acted like a little babysitter when we first got Bella-Bizet.  He would stay home with her all day and we felt like he kept her out of trouble.

Bella-Bizet loves snow.  We couldn’t keep her out of this past snow.

I love to take my dogs on walks or runs (Bella slows Tucker and I down).  They are always so excited to see me when I get home.  It makes me feel so loved.  I love it when I go to get their leashes and they get all excited.  It is so funny.

I love to run.  Here is a picture of me at the OBX marathon.  Running has always chased my worries and stresses away.  I have ran multiple 5 ks, 3 full marathons, 1 half marathon, and am currently training for another half marathon.  I like to run at the OBX.  It gives me an excuse to go and it’s just so beautiful there.

If I could be anywhere it would be the OBX of NC.  It is the most beautiful place to be.  There’s nothing more relaxing than flying a kite on the dunes.

While vacationing in the Keys, my husband and I went walking.  We stumbled upon a crowd of people.  We got closer to see where they were going.  They were going on a tour of Ernest Hemingway’s home.  I took a picture.  It is not the best.  But it’s a good picture considering we didn’t pay to tour the house.  I thought this bit of info. would be appropriate for this course.

I love flowers.  I took a picture of these at the Biltmore Estate.  These were in the Greenhouse.
